I have trained in the field of STEM education for over 10 years, and I joined the Biological & Biomedical Sciences faculty at Rowan University in fall 2019.
I earned my PhD in Evolution, Ecology and Population Biology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. My research in Dr. Kenneth Olsen's lab identifies variation that allows a common plant (white clover) to adapt to an extremely wide range of climates.

I earned my BS in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 as a member of the Dean's Scholars Honors Program.

I also earned Texas high school science and mathematics teaching certifications in 2011 through the UTeach program.

I grew up in rural northeast Texas, where I fell in love with plant diversity and learned the importance of agriculture at an early age through the National FFA Organization.
